PSE customers with active natural gas provided by PSE and electric service provided by PSE, heating their homes with a gas furnace or boiler can receive:

Heat pumps are a great option for homeowners looking to improve year-round comfort:

• Heat pumps are just as reliable as other heating systems and can use 2-3 times less energy.
• Heat pumps also offer cooling, humidity reduction, and increased air circulation and filtration.
• Depending on the model, you can control your heat pump with a remote, mobile app, or 智能恒温器.

Inflation Reduction Act tax credits

Customers are encouraged to install heat pumps that meet the requirements for Inflation Reduction Act tax credits (最高2,000元). More information is listed in the table below.

• 你一定是PSE气体 and PSE electricity (dual fuel) customer who currently heats with natural gas.
• Ducted systems must be AHRI Certified with an HSPF2 of 8.1或更大. Ductless systems must be AHRI Certified with an HSPF2 of 9.5或以上.
• Customers with pre-existing heat pumps 不符合资格.
• At least one indoor head must be installed in the main living area; bedroom only installations do not qualify. One rebate per single-family residence (4 units or less).
• Single-family new construction, 多户家庭的 (five or more attached units), accessory dwelling units (ADUs), and 商业帐户 不符合资格.
• Existing gas furnaces or boilers must be removed/decommissioned and fully replaced by the new heat pump system to qualify. Dual fuel systems or systems with natural gas backup heat do not 有资格获得这项奖励.
• Heat pumps must be installed to comply with all federal, state, and local code requirements.

Installed equipment meeting the PSE rebate requirements is eligible for the PSE rebate, if you are also interested in the additional IRA tax credits, please ensure your equipment also meets those requirements in the table below.

SEER2, EER2, HSPF2, 5°F, 17°F, and 47°F values shall be measured per the US Department of Energy test procedure at Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 430, B部分, 附录M1.

*Coefficient of Performance (COP) means the ratio of the average rate of space heating delivered to the average rate of electrical energy consumed by the heat pump. COP is a measurement of how efficiently a heat pump uses electricity to move heat.

**5°F, 17°F and 47°F are rated capacity data points as determined per the 附录M1 tests. The capacity ratio measures the difference between the rated capacity at a given outdoor temperature and the rated capacity at another outdoor temperature. • You will need an electronic image of your paid installation invoice and a purchase receipt for your installed equipment. These documents must include an installation date, 安装地址, brand, model number(s) of all rebated equipment (include the heat pump, air handler and/or coil model number on the invoice), 支付的金额.
• Your rebate application must be submitted within 60 days of installation.
• Only one rebate will be issued per qualified single-family residence.
• You must have an online PSE account to apply online.
• Rebates are only available on new, qualifying equipment. Rebates cannot exceed the pre-tax purchase price of any rebated equipment. Equipment that is replaced under warranty will not be eligible for a second rebate.
• Equipment must be installed on or after June 19, 2023.
